Linda Sheard death: Son Andrew Cane denies murder charge

A man accused of murdering his mother has appeared in court.

Andrew Cane, 30, went missing after the body of 63-year-old Linda Sheard was found in July at a house in Brixington, near Exmouth, Devon.

He was arrested three days later in the Gloucester area.

Mr Cane appeared before Exeter Crown Court, where he denied the charge of murder. He was remanded in custody with a trial date expected to take place next year.
