UK fishermen 'attacked by French'


Fishermen are calling for Royal Navy protection after claims they were attacked by French vessels.

Scallopers from the South West have been caught up in the dispute in international waters off the coast of Normandy.

The French claim British vessels are taking advantage of local conservation measures and plundering their fish stocks.

According to the government the British fishermen are operating legally.
