Plymouth man charged with manslaughter of baby

A man has been charged with the manslaughter of a one-month-old girl in Devon.

Benjamin Roach, 23, from Plymstock, was charged with the manslaughter of Roxie-Jo Hopkins-Roach, also from Plymstock.

Roxie-Jo died from a head injury on 24 September after being admitted to Derriford Hospital the previous evening.

Mr Roach is due to appear at Plymouth Magistrates' Court on 21 March. He has been released on bail.
