New food bank to open in Honiton

A new food bank is to start operating in Devon.

The King's Centre food bank, in Honiton, which is to open in the week, is being run by local churches and will offer food to people in need.

The group said the project was relying totally on public donations and it had been collecting non-perishable items to give away since before Christmas.

People wanting food will have their needs assessed by professionals from local agencies and church leaders.
