Branches of the Devon Records Office may have their opening hours cut under proposals being considered by Devon County Council.

The plans for the branches in Exeter and Barnstaple are part of a review to restructure the service.

Under the proposals, the Exeter office would be closed on Mondays. Barnstaple would be closed on Wednesdays.

The council previously said that budget shortfalls meant that savings were needed in all areas.
