A drama teacher from Derbyshire has been struck off for getting too close to his pupils.

An independent panel said 57-year-old's Christopher Mallinson's actions including kissing a girl on her forehead and letting a girl ruffle his hair.

The panel concluded there was no sexual motivation or harm to pupils at Swadlincote's William Allitt School but said his behaviour blurred professional boundaries.
