Derbyshire fire chief Sean Frayne to stand trial for rape
A trial date has been set for Derbyshire's chief fire officer who has been charged with raping a woman.
Sean Frayne, who has been suspended from his post with Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, is charged with one count of rape.
The 47-year-old appeared at Derby Crown Court earlier where a trial was set for 10 November.
Mr Frayne, who lives in Etwall, is due in court again on 5 June, when he is due to enter a plea.
The woman is alleged to have been raped between November 2006 and January 2007.
The trial is expected to take three days.
