Murder investigation after woman's body found in Derby

Police have begun a murder inquiry following the discovery of a woman's body in a Derby street.

Officers found the body on Hartington Street, off Normanton Road, on Sunday morning, a spokesman for Derbyshire Police said.

The body is believed to be that of a woman in her 30s, the spokesman added.

Detectives from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit are leading the investigation.

Anyone with information about the woman's death has been asked to contact Derbyshire Police.
