Buxton man charged with attempted murder after assault

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a man was attacked on Friday evening.

Derbyshire Police said officers were called to a disturbance in Fairfield Road, Buxton, at about 16:40 GMT.

They found a 36-year-old man with serious injuries. He was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Jake Grimshaw, 23, of South Mews, Buxton, has been remanded in custody and will appear in court on Monday.
