Derby flats fire sparks evacuation

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of setting light to a mattress in the stairwell of a block of flats in Derby.

About 20 firefighters were called to the fire at Mohan Court on Warner Street at about 18:20 GMT on Wednesday.

No-one was seriously hurt, but three people were treated by paramedics for breathing in smoke.

Derbyshire Police said an investigation was under way and are asking for anyone with information to contact them.
