Man charged over Derbyshire football match broken leg

A football player has been charged with assault after an opponent suffered a broken leg during a football match in Derbyshire.

Ryan King, 25, of Midland Road, Chapel-en-le-Frith was playing for Chinley FC in September.

The opponent, a 23-year-old man playing for Grindleford FC, suffered a broken leg, police said.

Mr King is due to appear before High Peak Magistrates' Court on Monday 4 November.
