As part of a re-launch of Royal Crown Derby a handful of £16,000 plates have been created as part of a collection for the birth of the Royal baby later this month.

Chief executive, Kevin Oakes said: "It is an exciting new chapter in the history of a very illustrious business."

This is the first time they have produced china for the Royal family since Prince Harry was born.

Sales and marketing director Simon Willis said they have also produced some pieces in pink and blue which will be kept secret until the baby is born.
