Help

During the investigation into the fire which killed six children as they slept at their home in Derby, police secretly recorded their parents' discussions.

Mick and Mairead Philpott, together with friend Paul Mosley, were accused of starting the blaze and detectives bugged them in their hotel and a prison van.

The prosecution used the recordings during the trial which ended with guilty verdicts on Tuesday.

Jade Philpott, 10, John, nine, Jack, eight, Jesse, six, and Jayden, five, died on the morning of the fire on 11 May 2012. Duwayne, 13, died later in hospital.

Dominic Heale reports.
