Ilkeston murder: Man quizzed over Michael Moss's death

A fifth person has been arrested over the murder of a Derbyshire man found assaulted in his home.

Police were called to reports of a disturbance on Canal Street in Ilkeston on Wednesday evening where a man was found with injuries.

Paramedics tried to save 48-year-old Michael Andrew Moss but he later died.

Police said a 23-year-old man was being questioned on suspicion of murder. Two men and a woman have been charged over Mr Moss's death.

A 26-year-old man has been charged with murder and another man, also 26, and a woman, 46, have been charged with conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm (GBH).

All three appeared before Derby magistrates on Saturday.

Derbyshire Police said a 24-year-old man arrested in connection with the murder had been released without charge.

A post-mortem examination found Mr Moss died from injuries suffered during an assault.
