Arrests follow suspected drugs deaths in Derbyshire
Seven people have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences following the deaths of two young people in Derbyshire in the run-up to Christmas.
A 20-year-old woman was found at a flat in Chapel-en-le-Frith on Saturday and an 18-year-old man was found in a flat in Eagle Parade, Buxton, on Sunday.
Police said the deaths were not suspicious but both were believed to have taken a combination of drugs.
The two incidents are not currently being linked.
Two people were arrested after the death in Chapel-en-le-Frith while five were detained after the death in Buxton.
All have now been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Steve Holme, from Derbyshire Constabulary's drugs unit, said: "We know both people had been at locations where drugs were used.
"We know that both had probably used a combination of drugs as well as alcohol and we're awaiting toxicology tests to be sure.
"There's nothing to link the supply of the drugs in each case at the moment, although we're testing items we've recovered and seeing if there are similarities."
