Angela's Ashes musical gets blessing from writer's family
The widow of author Frank McCourt says a new musical version of his famous book Angela's Ashes would have been "right up his alley".
Ellen McCourt and the writer's brother, Alphie McCourt, have travelled from New York to see the musical's premiere in Derby.
The adaptation is by University of Derby graduate Adam Howell who said he considered the book a great "human story" despite its gritty nature.
