CCTV footage has been released of a man who has been missing from his home in Derbyshire for almost a week.

The clip shows Danny Vallory, 58, buying newspapers at a post office in Shardlow at 07:20 on Saturday. He has not been seen since.

Police said Mr Vallory, who lives on a house boat on Shardlow Marina, left the post office and headed back in the direction of the marina.

His wife Georgina has said he had no reason to disappear.

Police have searched the marina and carried out door-to-door enquiries in their hunt for Mr Vallory, who is white, 5ft 10in (1.78m) tall, of medium build with a white beard.

Det Insp Emlyn Richards said: "On the one-week anniversary of his disappearance we will be speaking to anglers in the area who may have seen Mr Vallory last Saturday morning.

"We will also visit the post office to try and trace any customers who may not yet have come forward."
