Second death in two-car Ashover crash

A second teenager has died six days after a two-car crash in Derbyshire, police have confirmed.

Liam Chapman, 16, from Clay Cross, was taken to Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre but died later from his injuries.

Connor Short, also 16, from Ashover, died at Chesterfield Royal Hospital after the crash on 20 September.

Three other people were injured in the accident at Kelstedge on the A632 Matlock Road near Ashover.

Both victims were passengers in the same car. The car's male driver was also taken to hospital with multiple fractures.

Two men in the other car were treated for minor injuries.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
