Somercotes woman's stabbing prompts murder inquiry

Jade Riley Ward A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with Jade Ward's death

The death of a woman found in a Derbyshire house is being treated as murder, police have said.

Emergency services were called to Burke Drive, Somercotes, just before 16:00 BST on Saturday and found the body of Jade Riley Ward.

A post-mortem examination revealed the 30-year-old died from multiple stab wounds.

Derbyshire Constabulary said a 22-year-old man had been arrested and was being questioned.
