Derby park sexual assault: Police describe attacker

Police investigating a sex attack on a woman in a Derbyshire park have issued a description of a man they want to speak to.

The 31-year-old woman was approached by a man while sitting on a bench in a park near Merchant Street at about 08:00 BST on Friday, then assaulted.

The man is described as being white, aged about 40, stocky and bald.

He had blue eyes, a pierced left eyebrow, was missing some teeth and spoke with a local accent.

Derbyshire Police said the man was wearing a dark blue T-shirt, dark trousers and black trainers.

The force added that a large number of people could have been passing by at the time who could have information about the attacker.
