Hundreds attend first Erewash borough jobs fair

Around 600 people looking for employment and training have visited a Derbyshire borough's first ever jobs fair.

The Erewash event was organised by MP Jessica Lee and had representatives from catering, manufacturing, engineering and the armed forces.

The Conservative MP said the fair gave local businesses face-to-face access with people looking for work.

She added that she hoped it would not be the area's last jobs fair.
