A52 Derby to Nottingham resurfacing brought forward
The work will take place over five nights between 20:00 and 06:00
A stretch of road between Derby and Nottingham is to be resurfaced next week after motorists complained potholes were damaging their cars.
The Highways Agency said it had brought forward repairs to the A52 between the M1 and Borrowash after receiving 20 complaints over the past 12 months.
It said the resurfacing would remove the need for a 50mph speed limit on the stretch.
Work will take place overnight between 10-15 September.
A Highways Agency spokesman said: "Our ongoing inspections of the A52 highlighted safety issues regarding the condition of the road surface.
"We have therefore been working hard to bring forward repairs to address the most pressing of these problems."
