Derbyshire derelict pub fire causes road closure

About 40 firefighters tackled a blaze at a derelict pub in Derbyshire, causing a road to be closed.

Officers were called to the two-storey building on Cromford Road, in Langley Mill, at about 05:00 BST.

The A608 New Derby Road was closed in both directions, between the A610 Derby Road and Cromford Road junction, but has now reopened.

No-one was hurt in the fire, which also affected traffic on Cromford Road. An investigation has been started.
