The bodies of six children who died in a fire at their house in Derby have been released by the coroner.

Jade Philpott, 10, and brothers John, nine, Jack, eight, Jessie, six and Jayden, five, died in the 11 May blaze. Duwayne, 13, died three days later.

Details of their funerals are now expected to be finalised.

It is not known whether their parents Mick and Mairead Philpott, who are in custody charged with their murders, will attend.

Derbyshire Police said they were working with the family to organise the funerals but did not confirm where the services would be held.

A spokeswoman for Derby Cathedral said an offer remained for the family to hold the funerals at the cathedral.

An inquest into the deaths was opened and adjourned at Derby Coroner's Court last month by Coroner Dr Robert Hunter.

Mick and Mairead Philpott are next due in court on 18 June.
