Ex-soldier retrains after head injury in Afghanistan
A former soldier from Derbyshire, who was injured on two separate tours in Afghanistan, is retraining as a landscape architect after he had to leave the Army on medical grounds.
A bullet shattered Chris Parrott's leg in a gunfight with the Taliban when he was 18.
On his next tour he suffered a serious head injury when fragments of a grenade entered his head through a gap between his helmet and glasses.
Mr Parrott is now training to be a landscape architect but said he would prefer to be back serving in Afghanistan.
