Body discovered in River Derwent in Derby

The death of a 24-year-old man whose body was found in the River Derwent at the weekend is not being treated as suspicious, police have confirmed.

A member of the public discovered the body near a rowing club in Darley Park on Sunday morning, Derbyshire Constabulary said.

Specialist officers cordoned off a section of the park while the body was recovered shortly after 10:15 BST.

Police said they were now preparing a file for the coroner.
