Wire actor Dominic West joins Foston pig farm protest

Help

Actor Dominic West has lent his support to a campaign to stop a large-scale pig farm being built in Derbyshire.

The Wire star told BBC East Midlands Today's James Roberson that the proposed farm, in Foston, could put local farmers out of business.

Mr West grew up in the area and said his uncle had been a pig farmer.

Midlands Pig Producers (MPP), which has applied to build the facility, said it would be smaller than similar pig farms already built in Europe and the United States.
