Man, 52, dies after Derbyshire hang glider crash

A 52-year old man has died after a hang glider crash in the Peak District of Derbyshire.

Emergency services were called to Mam Tor, near Castleton, at about 1635 GMT on Thursday.

Derbyshire Police said officers assisted mountain rescue teams to bring the man, who has not been named, down to a waiting ambulance.

He was taken to Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport with severe injuries but died on Friday morning.

Police are preparing a file for the coroner.
