Cumbrian cyclist dies after crashing into dry stone wall

A cyclist has died after crashing into a dry stone wall in Cumbria.

The man was riding a racing-style bike when he collided with a dry stone wall on Crook Road, Staveley, at about 11:10 BST.

The elderly man from the local area sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The road was closed for about two hours. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cumbria Police.
