Cumbria Police's Natalie Scott charged with fraud and theft

A serving Cumbria Police officer has been charged with fraud and theft, the force has confirmed.

Natalie Scott, of Rampside, Barrow, had been arrested at her home in May and released on police bail.

The 36-year-old is scheduled to appear at Carlisle Magistrates' Court on 5 August and remains suspended from duty.

Assistant Chief Constable Michelle Skeer said: "I can reassure communities that we investigate any reports thoroughly."
