Carlisle man killed in A595 crash named as Daniel Staples

A motorist who died in a crash between a car and a milk tanker on the A595 in Cumbria was "always full of fun", his family has said.

Daniel Staples, 28, from Peel Street, Carlisle, died in the collision near Cardelwees on Tuesday morning.

The driver of the tanker, a 64-year-old man from Fletchertown, was uninjured.

Mr Staples' parents paid tribute to a "loving, caring and fun loving person", who was looking forward to being best man at his friend's wedding.

Tony and Kath Staples said in a statement: "He was an outgoing lad who was always full of fun.

"His passing has left an void in our lives that he, with his presence and vitality, filled.

"There was never a dull moment with him around."
