Seven men arrested in Cumbria child exploitation probe

Seven men have been arrested in Cumbria as part of an investigation into child sexual exploitation.

The men, aged between 22 and 59, were held after raids at properties in Carlisle, Millom, Whitehaven, Barrow, Brampton, Workington and Wigton.

Cumbria Police said a further two properties in the south of the county were being searched.

A spokesman said the alleged offences ranged from possessing indecent images to child grooming.
