Crosby Villa crash leaves three men dead

Three men have died in a collision between two cars near Maryport in Cumbria.

The collision happened shortly before 05:30 BST on the A596 at Crosby Villa and involved a Rover and a Honda Civic.

Both drivers, Michael Harrison, 47, of Aspatria and Jamie Edmondson, 22, of Maryport, and passenger Todd Ridley, 18, also of Maryport, were killed.

The road has now reopened to traffic. Anyone with information is asked to contact Cumbria Police.
