A driver has been charged in connection with the death of a man in a car crash in south Cumbria.

Robert Clinton was a passenger in a car that left the road and hit a wall on Aynam Road, Kendal, on 23 March.

The 21-year-old, of Wellings, Kendal, died at the scene.

James Oliver, 29 and of Lancing Close, Liverpool, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving. He will appear before Kendal Magistrates' Court on 16 October.

Mr Clinton's family described him as "much loved" and said they were "broken hearted" to lose someone "so special".
