Cumbrian farmer 'forced' to move to New Zealand for work

10 September 2013 Last updated at 13:19 BST

A young farmer is leaving behind his job in Cumbria to further his career in New Zealand.

Richard Dayment believes there is "lack of opportunity" in the UK because of a blockage in the system coming from older farmers hanging on to their land when they retire.

He is now moving to New Zealand so he can purchase his own dairy farm.

Chris Jackson went to meet Mr Dayment for Inside Out.
