Rail worker Nickki Whyte downloaded child porn

A Cumbrian man who admitted downloading pornographic images of children has been put on the sex offenders register.

Nickki Whyte, 24, of Tarraby Road, Carlisle, faced 15 charges of making indecent images of children after 160 photographs were found at his home.

The rail worker was put on the sex offenders' register for five years and put under probation supervision for three years at Carlisle Crown Court.

He was also banned from working with children.
