Gilcrux residents claim windfarm is flooding village

Residents in a village in Cumbria are claiming a nearby windfarm is causing flooding and drying up natural water supplies.

Pete Johnston's home in Gilcrux, has been flooded since the Tallentire windfarm was built and he believes the concrete and roadways which replaced the farmland are preventing water being absorbed into the ground.

But Renewable Energy Systems Ltd who run the windfarm said that although they were aware of the issues "no connection has been established".

The company said it will carry out a hydrology report with the results expected in August.
