Malaysian flood experts visit Cockermouth's flood defences

Flood experts from Malaysia have visited the UK's first self-closing flood barrier in Cumbria in the hope of finding a similar solution for their country.
The 390ft-long (120m) barrier in Cockermouth rises only when the river is in flood.
The £4.4m project aims to prevent a repeat of the devastating flooding that hit the town in 2009, when a month's rain fell in 24 hours.
Now, a group of experts including Professor Sahol Hamid, have visited the town to see if the barrier could be used to save homes and businesses in Malaysia.
