A 20-month-old girl has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after becoming trapped underneath a car at a campsite in Cumbria.

Emergency services were called to Lane Foot Farm campsite near Keswick at about 09:55 BST after reports a child was stuck under a vehicle.

She was flown to hospital in Newcastle with serious leg, pelvis and head injuries, Cumbria Police said.

Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The family, from Lincoln, were in the area on holiday.
