Woman admits child neglect after girl found in Carlisle

A woman has admitted child neglect, after a two-year-old girl was found on a street in Cumbria.

The child was found in a pram in Carlisle on Thursday night after a woman rang a doorbell in Warwick Road.

The 41-year-old appeared before Carlisle Magistrates Court and was bailed to appear at Carlisle Crown Court for sentencing on 3 May.

The child has been placed in the care of social services.
