Woman charged after girl found in pram in Carlisle

Warwick Road, Carlisle Neighbours on Warwick Road said they heard shouting late on Thursday

A woman has been charged with child neglect after a two-year-old girl was found in Cumbria.

The girl was found at 23:00 GMT on Thursday after officers were called to Warwick Road, Carlisle.

Police found the child in a pram after they were called to reports of a woman ringing a doorbell on the street.

A 41-year-old woman was due to appear before Carlisle Magistrates Court today. The child is in the care of social services.
