Man arrested after passenger dies in Kendal crash

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after one of his passengers died following a car crash in Cumbria.

The vehicle the men were travelling in hit a wall on Aynam Road, Kendal, just before 22:45 GMT on Saturday.

Police said the victim, whose name has not been released, died at the scene.

The driver, 28, was arrested after he was taken to hospital. He remains in hospital along with another male who was in the silver Peugeot.
