House fire in Cumbria 'under control'

A fire which engulfed a house in Cumbria is now "under control", the fire service has said.

Firefighters and police were called at about 07:45 GMT on Saturday by the owner of a property situated on an access road into Whinfell Forest.

Crews found the fire had spread rapidly through the detached house.

Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said no-one was injured in the blaze which is thought to have started at the rear of the property.
