Dale Burns inquest: jury is sent out
Mr Burns died in August 2011
The jury at the inquest into the death of a man who was Tasered by police has been sent out to consider its verdict.
Dale Burns, 27, died in hospital after officers tried to arrest him on suspicion of criminal damage at his home in Barrow, Cumbria in August 2011.
The jury will consider whether his struggle against restraint contributed to his cardiac arrest.
It must also decide whether the use of a Taser by police was appropriate.
The events surrounding Mr Burns' death are also the subject of a separate inquiry by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).
The IPCC is due to reveal its findings after the inquest is concluded.
