A body found on marshland has been identified as that of an angler who went missing more than two months ago.

Robert Heaton was last seen leaving his home in Belah Road, Carlisle, on 16 November.

The 41-year-old's fishing rod was later found near the River Eden and several searches of the Solway Firth were carried out.

Cumbria Police said his body was found in Castletown near Rockcliffe on Friday.
