A driver has been cleared of causing the death of a woman who died on the way to her grandson's christening.
Grandmother-of-six Marjorie Borwick, from Workington, was hit by a car as she crossed the A595 near St John's Church, in Bigrigg, on 4 December 2011.
Rychenda Edgar, 22, of Dryden Way, Egremont, denied causing the 71-year-old's death by careless driving.
She was found not guilty. Mrs Borwick had just arrived for the christening service, Carlisle Crown Court heard.
