Man charged over road crash death of Maryport man

A man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with a fatal road crash in Cumbria last year.

Kyle Twentyman, 21, of Main Street, Allonby is due to appear before Carlisle Magistrates on 1 February.

The charges follow a collision in the village on 25 March 2012 which involved a Suzuki Swift and a pedestrian, Raymond John Pattinson.

Mr Pattinson, 20, of Edinburgh Road, Maryport, suffered head injuries and died later in hospital.
