A Polish lorry driver has been arrested over a five-vehicle crash on the A66 in Cumbria, which injured several people.

The incident led to a stretch of the road near the Sandford junction being closed for four hours early on Friday.

Police said a Volvo articulated lorry collided with car transporter, before hitting a Fiat Doblo, a Mercedes Sprinter van and a Vauxhall Insignia.
