Confronted teen burglar jailed in Carlisle

A teenager who was chased by a 63-year-old man who found him burgling his house in Carlisle has been jailed for three years and four months.

Connor Dalgliesh, 19, had already been chased out of another house after the homeowner confronted him on the stairs.

Dalgliesh, of Gloucester Road, Carlisle, was found by police hiding behind a fence.

He pleaded guilty at Carlisle Crown Court on Friday to burglary and attempted burglary.
