Burglar Paul Millar with 122 convictions jailed
A man with more than 120 convictions has been sent to prison for four years for burgling a woman's house.
Paul Millar used a post to smash the kitchen window of the house in Edenhall, Penrith, on 21 March.
During the raid the 52-year-old, of no fixed address, ransacked the property and stole £1,000 of jewellery.
He admitted burglary. Carlisle Crown Court heard his victim was left "traumatised" when she returned home.
It also heard the jewellery had been of sentimental value because it belonged to her mother who had recently died.
His victim had been out with her three-year-old child on the morning of the raid when she got home and found glass all over her kitchen floor, the hearing was told.
